For users in the care home setting: Why can't I see all care recipients on my ward in the dashboard?

  • Ask your care manager / care service manager directly.

  • As a rule, not all care recipients are suitable for alea Monitoring and are therefore not even listed in the system.

    • Or use by one or more care recipients is currently paused.

    • Or the previous time has changed something.

For users in the care home setting: Why can't I see my ward?

  • Inform your care manager, who will adjust your alea account accordingly, as they will probably still need to assign you to your ward in the alea cockpit with a click.

  • This also applies to all care recipients per care setting or defined area.

  • If everything is set correctly, you will see your ward(s) and the associated care recipients in the top right-hand corner of the filter view.

I have entered the wrong password 3 times, what now?

  • Please set a new password for your account or ask your care setting or the person responsible for your care to send you a new password for your alea app account.

  • If it is an account used by several carers, coordinate this in the network.

For users in the care home setting: I am assigned to the wrong area in the alea app, what should I do?

  • No problem, you can change your settings (selection of wards) and then see all care recipients who live in the selected wards or areas.

  • If your care setting is completely missing, please inform your care manager.

  • This person will then assign your alea account to your ward or areas via the alea cockpit.

I don't know my username or password for the alea app, how do I get both?

  • Please set a new password for your account.

  • Or ask the person responsible for your care to send you a new password for your alea app account.

How do I understand the notifications in the alea app?

  • All symbols and status options are explained at Chapter 3.

  • Each ward or living area has at least one explanatory card (so-called CheatSheets), a laminated overview of all the meanings of the symbols in the alea app.

  • You can also find these in the alea app itself under 'Settings' and there under 'Icon overview'.

  • Alternatively you can find the CheatSheets also in the alea helpdesk

What do I do if a notification in the alea app was incorrect?

  • In principle, the system does not offer 100% accuracy.

  • In the event of incorrect notifications (incorrect icons, delayed messages), please send us your feedback directly in the 'Settings' menu in the alea app and let us know via'Submit support request' the notification or functionality you are complaining about and what you have actually observed.

What can I do so that I receive notifications faster and not too late?

  • The system is designed for near-real-time speed, i.e. there are sometimes seconds or minutes between an event and the notification in the alea app (depending on the event or technical circumstances such as reception and internet quality).

  • However, if an event was displayed in the alea app much later than it actually took place, it is possible that the alea clip was in an area where neither the alea dock nor the alea router were within a 20 metre radius and the care recipient with the alea clip only returned to the area later (e.g. because he was outside where there is no alea network coverage).

  • In this case, the system sends the data with a corresponding delay as soon as the care recipient is recorded by the alea hardware again.

How do I receive notifications in the alea app?

  • Please check the notification settings of the alea app on your mobile device
