1.4.3 | Mobile devices

General information

Mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets or even smartwatches are necessary or suitable for using alea and, of course, the alea app in particular.

  • It is generally the responsibility of the customer or person responsible for care to ensure that mobile devices are sufficiently functional and to formally enable their use.

  • This also applies to setting up user accounts on all devices, complying with password and other security regulations and safe use in daily care operations in the care setting and when working with people (e.g. with regard to hygiene).

  • Authorisation to use private end devices is also the responsibility of the system and maintenance managers.

Suitable smartphones and tablets

The latest version of the respective operating system should be available for use on mobile devices (iOS, Android).

  • We currently guarantee usability on mobile devices from iOS version 12 and Android version 14.

  • When using the alea app in the browser, we recommend (as with the alea cockpit) always having the latest versions of the browsers available (including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge).

Recommendation for the purchase of mobile devices

AssistMe recommends a minimum of one end device per defined area of use per person responsible for care (e.g. per private household in home care or per ward of a care facility), but ideally one device and alea account per active carer in order to comply with all possible requirements when using digital applications.
