From here, you will find all the usage information you need if you are not sure how to use the system and its components correctly.
-
All configurative tasks and utilisation requirements are assumed to be given and functional. If a question or problem cannot be solved by correct use, please contact your care manager or the AssistMe team directly (see back of these instructions for use).
Here are the most important general instructions for using the alea system:
-
An alea-compatible ICP or ICP with alea sensor strips must be used. The respective absorbency of the ICP must be adapted to the needs of each individual care recipient as usual. With the alea system, the IKP can be optimised at any time with regard to the different absorbencies.
-
The system is ready for use when the apps have been installed and set up correctly (as described in section 2.5). All status LEDs and status indicators of each component (see section 2.3.3) should be checked.
-
Correct attachment of the alea clip is essential. The process should initially be practised on a smart ICP alone to ensure routine attachment and removal on the care recipient's ICP. We will show you how to do this quickly and with one hand in an on-site training session, via digital training videos or online tutorials.
-
Disposal and recycling of the hardware is the sole responsibility of the manufacturer AssistMe. All devices and materials should be returned to AssistMe in the event of maintenance, disassembly and disposal.
-
At the end of use and in the event of disposal of the alea care assistance system, the person responsible for care retains all personal documents and data by making a backup in the alea Cockpit before disposal.
-
If there are connection problems between the components, the alea docks and alea router should be disconnected from the power supply and restarted. A functional test should then be carried out as described in section 2.5. If problems persist, the AssistMe support team should be contacted.
-
The power connection of the alea dock is successful when the alea clips light up in one colour when plugged in. With the alea router, a functioning power supply is ensured during installation on site by connecting it to the socket. Care managers can check the functional status of all alea routers at any time in the alea Cockpit under 'Hardware'.
-
Smartphones and tablets can be used in day-to-day care according to personal needs and the rules of the person responsible for care. It must be ensured that the use of a mobile device does not interfere with the normal care process.
-
When making a new notification in the alea app, please note that alea is a digital care assistance system. Therefore, it is always the sole responsibility and decision of each carer to monitor corresponding messages and to plan all care activities and prioritisation based on the messages. Of course, it is also always an option to temporarily ignore the messages in the context of the daily dynamic care events in order to take them into account when the opportunity arises.
