2.5 | Final check of the alea installation and configuration

In order to commission the system successfully and safely, we recommend that the following functional requirements are checked and taken into account:

  • Completion of the physical installation of the alea docks in each care recipient room.

  • Those responsible for care can log in to the alea cockpit and all care recipients have been fully created and set up according to the individual care situation.

  • The installation is complete when the alea docks are connected via alea cockpit are assigned to the correct care recipients or rooms and an inserted alea clip flashes green.

  • The alea-Dock is tested by inserting a clip. If the LED light on the clip flashes green for a few seconds, the alea-Dock is working.

  • The alea-Clip is tested by attaching it to the outside of the ICP (using the clip mechanism). If the LED on the alea-Clip flashes green for a few seconds, the alea-Clip is working.

  • Access to the alea app by all end users is active and all have configured their personal accounts.

  • The connection of a care recipient to the system is checked on the status page of the alea app. If there is a problem with the alea-Clip connection, the corresponding symbol is displayed and the function status is greyed out in the status bar of the care recipient.

  • The installation of the alea routers in all communal areas (corridors, dining room, etc.) is finalised by testing them, checking that all devices are connected to the power supply and are displayed in the alea cockpit under 'Hardware'.

  • All users have taken part in detailed training provided by AssistMe or an authorised local partner.

  • The alea-compatible ICP or the alea sensor strips were purchased or ordered and selected according to the needs of the care recipients concerned (including suitable absorbency levels), which were determined in connection with the intended conditions of use.
