Is Alea suitable for people with dementia in terms of the components used on the body?

  • Yes, the “range detection” feature allows for more targeted and safer care of individuals with a tendency to wander in the context of dementia.
  • With regard to any potential disruptive (physical) effects of the alea clip on people with dementia, we are currently not aware of any relevant limitations or issues.
  • Provided that the use of incontinence pads has not previously led to any restrictions for a person with dementia (e.g., due to the person removing or destroying the pad on their own), we see no reason not to use alea for these individuals.
